Active rehabilitation / Physical therapy

Naturelife is pleased to introduce One on One focused Active Rehabilitation. Individually designed and supervised exercise programs in stretching, strength and conditioning, aerobic training, spinal stabilization and work conditioning.

After a detailed assessment by the physiotherapist, a customized active therapy program is prescribed aligned with the short term and log term goals. This includes postural exs, core stabilizations, strengthening and stretching regimen, gait training and breathing exs. This brings self-awareness and stress relief by deepening the connection between mind and body.

The primary aim of these supervised sessions is to teach self management and slowly integrate and promote an active lifestyle. Patient education on posture correction, ergonomic and ADL modifications, training in work related agility drills and post operative rehab is done.

We understand the importance of an effective rehabilitation program; that will aide in the prevention of future injuries and focus on the efficient recovery to get you back to an active painfree life.  Allow us to develop a program that meets your specific needs.

Advanced Laser Therapy- TLC 2000

Patients are provided with a safe, effective, and relaxing Laser therapy that uses the body’s natural healing functions to relieve pain, increase joint mobility, increase tissue integrity, and promote cell regeneration. THe treatment is evidence based and customised depending on patient's body type, tissue depth , skin colour and chronicity of the problem.

The treatment works by delivering energy to specific parts of the body in the form of billions of photons of light.  This energy is absorbed on a cellular level and transforms it into chemical energy, which the body in return can use to make its natural healing capabilities much more efficient.

The bio-stimulating effect of laser therapy causes a decrease in inflammation and pain, simultaneously aiding in tissue regeneration and healing.

Many treatable conditions include

  • Lower back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Arthritis
  • Heel pain
  • Tennis elbow
  • Tendinitis
  • Sprains and strains
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Hip pain

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

Also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) or electromyostimulation, is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses. EMS has received increasing attention in the last few years, because it has the potential to serve as: a strength training tool for healthy subjects and athletes; a rehabilitation and preventive tool for partially or totally immobilized patients and a post-exercise recovery tool for athletes

Transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation (T.E.N.S)

Transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation is used to send an electric pulse through the skin to the underlying peripheral nerves to treat different cases of chronic pain.

Inferential current therapy (I.F.C)

Inferential current therapy relates to a device that is used to stimulate nerve endings in deep tissue in order to reduce swelling, relieve pain, stop muscle spasms, increase blood flow and promote healing.

Microcurrent therapy

This is a practice in which extremely low level electrical currents are applied to certain areas of the body to stimulate cells with increased energy.  As a result inflammation is reduced, nerve and muscle pain is treated and function restored.

Manipulation

This is a physical treatment primarily used by physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, and osteopaths to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability; it most commonly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, jointmobilization and joint manipulation

Soft Tissue Therapy

The assessment, treatment and management of softtissue injury, pain and dysfunction primarily of the neuromusculoskeletal system

Lymphatic drainage

This is a gentle massage technique which is used to promote the natural movement of the lymph through its vessels.

Myofascial release

Paraffin Wax

This is used to treat chronic pains and arthritis as well to prepare areas of the body for manipulation.
